Sleeping Dogs on Xbox 360 (also known as True Crime: Hong Kong and Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition on newer platforms) is an open-world action-adventure video game developed by United Front Games and published by Square Enix, released in August 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows. Set in contemporary Hong Kong, the story follows Wei Shen, a Hong Kong-American undercover cop who infiltrates the Sun On Yee Triad organization to take them down from the inside. The game features a massive open world with numerous vehicles, weapons, and combat mechanics including martial arts, gunplay, and stealth. The Xbox 360 version runs at 720p resolution and includes mission-based story progression, free-roam, and various side activities. Sleeping Dogs is essentially True Crime 3 rebranded, offering a GTA-style experience with a Hong Kong underworld setting, gang warfare, and a mature undercover cop drama narrative where the line between cop and triad becomes blurry. The game lets players kill enemies with unusual weapons like fish, and features seamless explosive action with high tension where every action risks blowing your cover.
