Half-Life 2 is the 2004 first-person shooter sequel where you play Gordon Freeman escaping from the oppressive City 17 under the alien Combine's control, using the Gravity Gun, solving physics puzzles, and fighting through war-torn environments. The base game now includes both Episode One (2006) and Episode Two (2007), which continue the story of Gordon and Alyx Vance escaping City 17 and racing through new locations, with enhanced combat, new weapons, and deeper plot development. In November 2024, Valve delisted the standalone episodes and incorporated them into Half-Life 2.
